Conveniently located in northwest Rochester’s Historic Maplewood Neighborhood, Reen’s is a comfortable alternative to a hotel. It’s like crashing with your favorite aunt. Easy access to express ways means it’s usually less than twenty minutes from anywhere.
Built in 1910, the Murphys were the first to live here. Rose, Irene and Calissa, three of the six Murphy children, lovingly cared for their home for sixty years. The Julians were here for seventeen years then the Clarks for five years. The Saltrellis moved in 1989 and Reen opened the bed and breakfast in 2004.
There are two porches, two sitting rooms with fireplaces, oak floors, original unpainted woodwork, leaded windows and a stained glass window, two original bathrooms with footed bathtubs and two oak staircases.
Guests have come from all over the world: India, Brazil, Australia, Italy, Canada, South Africa, Ireland, Norway, Wales, Germany, Columbia, Trinidad and Tobago, Russia, Scotland, Croatia, Malaysia, France, Turkey, North Ireland, Turkmenistan, Mexico, Vietnam, Ecuador, Netherlands, Poland, Japan, United Kingdom, New Zealand, South Korea, Nigeria, Cuba, Egypt, Israel, Czechia and China.
